<p>Description</p> <p>Position Title: Controller</p> <p>Position Location: Uxbridge, MA</p> <p>Position Type: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 remote)</p> <p>Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 (Compensation depends on skills, knowledge, education, and experience)</p> <p>Position Snapshot: Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller is a key leader at Lenze Americas, overseeing accounting operations to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and Lenze global standards. This role partners cross-functionally to support budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and operational performance, while delivering timely financial reporting, leading audits, and developing a high-performing accounting team.</p> <p>About you: You're an outgoing, hands-on finance leader with a strategic mindset who thrives in evolving organizations and brings clarity, structure, and forward momentum to the business. Above all, you're a people-centered leader who builds trust, develops talent, and consistently raises the bar across the organization.</p> <p>A day in the life:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee accounting operations for Lenze Americas, including general ledger, cost and inventory accounting, AP/AR, and month-end close </li><li>Manage, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team, setting clear expectations and fostering growth, accountability, and succession readiness </li><li>Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Lenze Group standards </li><li>Serve as the primary partner to external auditors and oversee audit planning, execution, and issue resolution </li><li>Deliver timely financial insights and analysis to executive leadership to support strategic and operational decision-making </li><li>Partner closely with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives </li><li>Oversee inventory valuation, standard costing, product cost roll-ups, and manufacturing variance analysis in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Lead cost accounting activities and profitability, margin, and CVP analyses to support pricing and performance decisions </li><li>Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and policies to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance </li><li>Oversee regulatory and compliance requirements, including sales and use tax, income tax reporting, and coordination with external advisors </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to support continuous improvement and business objectives </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>What you bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field </li><li>Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive accounting or controller experience, with a strong focus on financial reporting; manufacturing experience is highly preferred </li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience successfully leading and developing teams, with a strong passion for coaching, training, and growth </li><li>Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, or comparable large-scale ERP systems </li><li>Strong expertise in full-cycle accounting, GAAP compliance, and financial statement preparation (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) </li><li>Comprehensive oversight of end-to-end accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and overall bookkeeping functions </li><li>Proven ownership of balance sheet and income statement reporting in organizations with $75M+ in revenue </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail with high standards for accuracy, data integrity, and internal financial controls </li><li>Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment with a continuous improvement mindset </li><li>Proven experience managing external financial audits, building strong relationships with banking partners, and collaborating with external tax advisors on annual tax provisions and statutory filings </li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong overall proficiency in Microsoft Office </li></ul> <p>Perks of being part of our team:</p> <ul> <li>Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Insurance - multiple plan options </li><li>Blue Cross Blue Shield Dental Insurance </li><li>FSA, HSA options </li><li>Vision Insurance </li><li>401k with company match, fully vested </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>10 company paid holidays </li><li>Company paid disability & AD&D insurance </li><li>100% paid parental leave after one year of service </li><li>Supplemental insurance plans (Identity theft, cyber protection, additional life, etc.) </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Many of our positions offer flexible schedules to meet your needs </li><li>Relaxed business casual environment </li><li>Sit/Stand desks for onsite office positions </li><li>Frequent team building activities </li><li>Career development opportunities </li></ul> <p>About us: Lenze is a global manufacturer of electrical and mechanical drives, motion control and automation technology - offering products, drive solutions, complete automation systems, and engineering services and tools from one single source.
