Contributes to the achievement of Kindred's vision, Divisional strategies, and Information Systems goals in order to achieve company success.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Establishes an environment for continuous improvement and adopts a best practices culture in order to produce high performance teams </li><li>Ensures timely escalation of IT Operations department issues in accordance with departmental protocols. </li><li>Ensures the departments are well aligned with business growth goals and future strategies. </li><li>Ensures periodic visits to multiple divisions and facilities to ensure optimal customer satisfaction </li><li>Provides necessary feedback and justification to IS Executive Management concerning system improvements, best practices, system documentation/policies, exceptional customer service and solutions to ongoing IT Operations department problems. </li><li>Establishes effective strategic relationships with business executives, Information Systems Departments, and external vendors to ensure delivery of objectives. </li><li>Influences involvement by business leadership in order to achieve overall success of IT Operations department projects. </li><li>Invites and seeks out future project/process enhancement opportunities that require IT Operations department participation. </li><li>Directs and supports the continuous review and forecasting of departmental budget and spending. </li><li>Develops, coaches, and motivates direct reports to lead by example, enabling effective performance, career growth and retention. </li><li>Monitors healthcare IT industry trends and identifies emerging technologies and best practices. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Proven successful executive relationships and business acumen. </li><li>Exercises the highest degree of project management principles. </li><li>Proven business knowledge and success in managing highly complex systems while applying industry best practices. </li><li>Demonstrates a strong commitment to deadlines and deliverables that are linked to the company's financial objectives, as well as industry requirements. </li><li>Approximate percent of time required to travel: 40 </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's and/or Graduate Degree in Information Systems, Business or related field </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Professional certifications related to Essential Functions preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>10 years departmental management experience required. </li><li>10 years solid project management/computer systems experience with exceptional customer service. </li><li>5 years experience in Systems Implementations Management. </li></ul>
