<p>SBM Management is searching for a PIT Operator! The PIT Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behavior of others and self. </li><li>Maintain current forklift training and certification as required by company policies. </li><li>Perform repetitive tasks. </li><li>Take directions and respond to supervision. </li><li>Move levers or controls of lifting devices to load, unload or stack material. </li><li>Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner. </li><li>Move waste pallets around the PIT area by positioning forks, or lifting platform devices under, over, or around loaded pallets or skids. </li><li>Stack waste pallets in the proper waste trailers. </li><li>Check loads are secure and maintain a clean and safe environment. </li><li>Keep the PIT area organized and clean. </li><li>Perform daily equipment checks. </li><li>Maintain logs and schedules. </li><li>Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines if applicable. </li><li>Support shift lead in completing punch-list items. </li><li>Use proper personal protective equipment. </li><li>Present a professional appearance and conduct. </li><li>Understand customer service and satisfaction. </li><li>Understand reporting systems and importance of the environment. </li><li>Maintains dock and collection areas. </li><li>Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials. </li><li>Reports incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor. </li><li>Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma / GED </li><li>Six months related experience and/or training </li><li>Required to have a valid Driver's license and clean driving record </li><li>Required to be forklift certified, and complete all safety and task training certifications </li></ul> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Sun-Wed 5:00pm-4:00am</p> <p>Sun-Wed 5:00am-4:00pm</p> <p>Wed-Sat 5:00am-4:00pm</p> <p>Compensation: $16.00-$17.00 per hour</p> <p>SBM Management Services, LP and its affiliates are proud to be equal opportunity workplaces.
