This position also provides response and feedback to customer service requests which involves frequent use of verbal and digital communication skills.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform maintenance and operation of building systems (fire/life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cabling, lighting, temperature controls, critical environments, light construction). </li><li>Respond to and mitigate Alarm conditions, troubleshooting and driving to complete any necessary corrective action. </li><li>Recommend and help to maintain critical spares inventory. </li><li>Ensure safety hazards are identified and remediated and manage safety training programs. </li><li>Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines related to building infrastructure. </li><li>Support contractor activities within the building. </li><li>Uses various wall covering techniques and solutions to complete maintenance and repair to commercial walls and ceiling systems. </li><li>Installs or repairs drywall, framing and spackle to meet the maintenance or reconditioning needs of the facility. </li><li>Performs necessary painting of walls, ceilings and other building components as scheduled by the management. </li><li>Performs flooring repairs and maintenance to include carpet, ceramic tile, granite or VCT. </li><li>Provides service to building plumbing fixtures to include sink faucets, flush valves, toilets and related piping. </li><li>Performs maintenance to a variety of kitchen appliances to include dishwashers, ovens and grease traps. </li><li>Installs or replaces ceiling tiles in a variety of applications or ceiling systems. </li><li>Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems for work planning and documentation of work performed and labor hours. </li><li>Keep records of building rounds, engineering logs, and data sheets. </li><li>Flexible in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer. </li><li>Provides immediate response to a variety of facility issues to include plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other site emergencies. </li><li>Assists other trade professionals as necessary to complete team objectives </li><li>Must have availability to respond to after-hours emergencies on-site only as needed. </li><li>Must have ability to read and understand operator and service manuals, specifications and drawings. </li><li>Works at varying heights using ladders, scaffolding, aerial and platform lifts. </li><li>Escorts and monitors quality and safety practices of outside contractors as assigned. </li><li>Adapts appropriately to temporary adjustments in work schedule to accommodate projects and other site demands. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: High School graduate or GED. </li><li>Experience: At least 2 years of experience with maintenance & repair of building systems. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Have the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs as required during shift. </li><li>Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift. </li><li>Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis during shift. </li><li>Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the facility during shift. </li><li>Have the ability to participate in a respiratory protection plan to include use of a respirator or PAPR </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <p>On-site -Cambridge, MA</p> <p>If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
