Responsible for the delivery of high-quality care as it relates to delivery of infusion therapy in the home or alternate setting. provides education to patient/and/or caregiver on proper handling, storage and administration of infusion medications as well as signs and symptoms of access device complications.</p> <p>EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <ol> <li>Makes joint visits as necessary and may be required to make field visits and staff on call to assist with volume </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="2"> <li>Works in collaboration with other disciplines and managers, both inside the Home Infusion department and outside. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="3"> <li>Ensures accurate and timely scheduling and documentation </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="4"> <li>Participates in staff meetings, in-service programs, and serves on committees as requested by the Manager Home Infusion </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="5"> <li>Plays a significant role in the development, evaluation and implementation of standards of practice and related policies and procedures, ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards relating to nursing. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="6"> <li>Develop and maintain quality and performance programs relating to nursing services for home infusion. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="7"> <li>Assists in marketing and business development initiatives to support the growth of the service line. </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="8"> <li>Review and respond to patient and family complaints, investigate unusual events and ensure proper follow-up and documentation </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="9"> <li>Review records and documentation to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and all federal/state laws and regulatory requirements </li></ol> </li><li> <ol start="10"> <li>Other duties as directed by the Manager of Home Infusion to support the needs of the department. </li></ol> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <p>Nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. CRNI certification a plus.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Three years of IV related experience. Previous experience in the home care of out patient infusion setting is desirable. Case Management experience a plus.</p> <p>LICENSURE</p> <p>Registered Nurse with valid (or eligible) Connecticut licensure required.</p> <p>SPECIAL SKILLS</p> <p>Must be capable of lifting 20 lbs., standing waking and bending.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMAND</p> <p>Must be capable of lifting 20 lbs, standing, walking, and bending.
