<p>Job Description</p> <p>Basic Function:</p> <p>The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist supports the business by leading procurement efforts in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. This role requires someone who can think strategically, act proactively, and work independently while collaborating across departments to influence others, drive change, and deliver results that support the company's rapid evolution.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Review, approve, and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services across assigned dealerships, ensuring alignment with Sonic Automotive's procurement policies. </li><li>Serve as the main point of contact between vendors and dealerships: track order status, troubleshoot issues, and support procurement processes. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with national suppliers to improve value, monitor performance, and resolve service issues. </li><li>Act as the primary procurement contact for assigned internal business units. </li><li>Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supply chain efficiency. </li><li>Review contract terms to identify when legal involvement may be needed and escalate to Strategic Sourcing leadership as appropriate. </li><li>Manage all phases of basic RFx processes, including RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs. </li><li>Assist Strategic Sourcing Managers with vendor communications and follow-up. </li><li>Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned. </li></ul>
