We provide multiple delivery systems in design-build, bid-build, public/private-partnerships and design-build finance.</p> <p>Hubbard Construction's parent company, Vinci Construction USA, operates through a network of 330 agencies and 770 production sites, in 17 countries around the world.</p> <p>General Description.</p> <p>We are seeking a Division Controller to lead the financial operations of our division. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills, leadership experience, and a collaborative mindset. The Controller will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and operational support, while also contributing to an upcoming ERP implementation project.</p> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities.</p> <p>The Division Controller will oversee the analysis of the division's financial performance, including budget forecasting, managing financial reporting, conducting audits and assessments, compliance with industry regulations, evaluating workforce productivity, and implementing strategies to enhance operational processes.</p> <ul> <li>Responsibilities: </li><li>Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring completeness , accuracy and compliance. </li><li>Oversee day-to-day financial operations, maintaining strong internal controls and adherence to company policies. </li><li>Supervise and mentor a small team of 2-3 accounting clerks, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. </li><li>Develop and maintain division budgets and forecasts and provide insightful variance analysis to leadership. </li><li>Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Engineers to support project budgeting and cost tracking. </li><li>Prepare and review monthly journal entries and ensure proper documentation. </li><li>Support internal and external audits, working with Corporate Finance and external auditors. </li><li>Participate in the ERP system implementation project (SAP), ensuring it aligns with financial processes and provides accurate data for decision-making. </li><li>Take on special projects and responsibilities as assigned by leadership. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Authorities.</p> <p>The Division Controller has full authority to perform his/her duties; however, they must consult with the necessary Manager in the following matters:</p> <ul> <li>When things vary from the normal processes </li><li>When any problems occur </li><li>Any threat of litigation or situations that may lead to litigation </li><li>Any matter that may affect the interest of the company </li><li>Non-compliance with reporting requirements to regulatory authorities </li></ul> <p>General. This position is not an entry-level job.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; dual background in Engineering and Finance is a plus. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management. </li><li>Experience with ERP system implementation or upgrades is a plus. SAP experience preferred. </li><li>Solid understanding of project accounting and cost control, ideally within the construction industry </li><li>Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Division Controller, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <ul> <li>Frequent ability to sit for prolonged periods of time; </li><li>Ability to drive a company vehicle for various recruiting events; </li><li>Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; </li><li>Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity; </li><li>Frequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs and/or elevator, as needed; </li><li>Infrequent ability to lift general office documents and materials, up to 10 pounds; </li><li>Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment.
