<p>Job Title: BYU Women's Volleyball Head Coach</p> <p>Start Date: ASAP</p> <p>Posting End Date: ?Posted Until Filled</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Head Coach provides visionary leadership for BYU's Women's Volleyball program, directing all competitive, developmental, and administrative aspects necessary to build and sustain a nationally respected program. This includes comprehensive game-day strategy, purposeful practice design, athlete development, and program planning that aligns with the values and mission of Brigham Young University.</p> <p>The Head Coach is expected to mentor and inspire student-athletes to become women of character, resilience, faith, and competitive excellence. Through intentional coaching, academic and spiritual support, and a culture of unity and accountability, the Head Coach fosters individual growth and collective success in pursuit of team and personal goals.</p> <p>Why You Should Join Our Team</p> <p>Be an integral part of BYU history and our rich tradition of winning. We need someone who strives for excellence in all they do, and who can thrive in a dynamic, challenging, and incredibly rewarding environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate, recruit, train, supervise, instruct, and coach student-athletes and coaching staff </li><li>Help determine scouting schedules for high school and college games </li><li>Interview prospective players, their parents, and coaches, and make certain prospective players and their parents understand the academic and other requirements of BYU student-athletes </li><li>Interact with media, alumni, and civic groups </li><li>Supervise assistant coaches and other staff as appropriate </li><li>Budget oversight and management </li><li>Scheduling, practicing, and game planning </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Sport Administrator and/or Athletic Director. </li></ul> <p>What Qualifies You to Apply?</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree (must have required degree by start date) </li><li>4 years college volleyball playing and/or coaching experience </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of Division I volleyball and NCAA rules and regulations </li><li>Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code </li><li>All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>College coaching experience (strongly preferred) </li><li>Recruiting experience </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of university policies </li></ul> <p>BYU Mission Alignment</p> <p>BYU is committed to hiring faculty members who enthusiastically embrace and energetically advance its unique mission.
