<p>NORTHRIDGE LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT</p> <p>Northridge Elementary School</p> <p>20262027 School Year</p> <p>Position Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Reports To: Building Principal</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Northridge Local School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Second-Grade Elementary Teacher to provide high-quality instruction and support the academic and social-emotional development of elementary students. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment, deliver standards-based instruction, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in core content areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies </li><li>Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Ohio Learning Standards </li><li>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners </li><li>Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records </li><li>Provide targeted interventions and enrichment opportunities as needed </li><li>Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment </li><li>Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development </li><li>Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities </li><li>Collaborate with grade-level team members, intervention specialists, and support staff </li><li>Participate in professional development and district initiatives </li><li>Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all district policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (required) </li><li>Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for grades K3 or 18 (or ability to obtain) </li><li>Knowledge of best practices in elementary instruction and child development </li><li>Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Standard school-day schedule with occasional extended hours for meetings and events </li><li>Participation in school-related activities, conferences, and professional development </li></ul> <p>Application Process</p> <p>Interested candidates should submit the following:</p> <ul> <li>Complete the application process </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The Northridge Local School District offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, participation in the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) of Ohio, and paid sick and personal leave.
