<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Rail Worker will be responsible for performing outdoor transloading duties, completing paperwork, and assisting with various tasks around the yard and DEF building. The role requires basic mechanical skills and the ability to work in varying weather conditions (cold/heat). The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of English for reading orders and completing necessary paperwork, as well as a willingness to be flexible and assist with various tasks to ensure smooth yard operations.</p> <p>Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Overtime may be required based on orders for the day)</p> <p>Wage: $19 per hour, based on experience</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform transloading duties (moving materials between railcars and trucks). </li><li>Complete paperwork related to orders and shipments accurately. </li><li>Assist with various tasks around the yard and DEF building as needed. </li><li>Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. </li><li>Operate basic tools and equipment (e.g., air compressors). </li><li>Follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. </li><li>Assist with additional yard tasks as required. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in cold and hot weather conditions. </li><li>Basic mechanical skills (familiarity with tools, air compressors, etc.). </li><li>Good understanding of English to read orders and complete paperwork. </li><li>Physically capable of performing the duties of the job, including lifting and working in outdoor conditions. </li><li>Flexibility to assist with various tasks around the yard. </li><li>Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team. </li></ul> <p>Preferred (but not required):</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in transloading, rail yard, or outdoor labor roles. </li><li>Experience with basic mechanical tools and equipment. </li></ul>
