<p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>1.Serve as chief administrative officer for the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators (AAEA), providing leadership, coordination, and development of association activities, events, and services as established by the AAEA Board of Directors. 2.Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Association and administer the activities and functions of the office. 3.Prepare the AAEA budget annually and, upon approval by the AAEA Board of Directors, oversee the implementation of the budget. 4.Ensure compliance with the AAEA Constitution, including constituent groups, election of officers, annual meetings of the Association, and membership categories. 5.Maintain and evaluate AAEA and its constituent groups' investments, insurance policies, and oversee the annual audit of the Association. 6.Supervise AAEA personnel to ensure they effectively perform their job assignments and that they possess the knowledge, tools, and time to effectively perform their job duties. Recommend candidates for employment for staff vacancies and be responsible for staff dismissals if necessary. 7.Maintain, enhance, and continue to develop the Corporate Sponsorship Program. 8.Oversee the short and long-range planning for the Association 9.Maintain relationships with the Arkansas Department of Education, Arkansas Teacher Retirement, as well as other educational associations. Attend meetings as necessary and keep AAEA members informed of activities. 10.Organize, direct, and actively lobby the AAEA legislative program. 11.Organize, manage, and model appropriate technology usage for the Association and its membership. Oversee AAEA website content and appearance. 12.Ensure that printed publications and electronic communications to inform members of education issues, and Association activities are produced, and that the Who's Who is updated and provided to each AAEA member annually. 13.Research, develop, and plan new services and/or activities for AAEA members with the approval of the AAEA Board of Directors. 14.Serve as chief spokesperson for the organization in venues including but not limited to governmental entities, the General Assembly, the media, the public, and with all constituent groups of the Association's membership. 15.Attend state and national conferences and meetings as directed and needed 16.Promote the organization by traveling the state to meet with various school administrator groups, including meetings of the Educational Service Centers (Coops), to recruit and help retain members. 17.Facilitate meetings and ensure that conferences for the organization are high quality by lining up presenters, setting agendas, coordinating member notifications, and directing the creation of materials to be shared and presented. 18.Be responsible for serving or delegating the responsibility to represent each of the constituent organizations included under the umbrella of the AAEA at the state, regional, and national levels. 19.Maintain a collaborative relationship with the University of Arkansas. 20.Serve on various legislated committees and boards as directed by law. 21.Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors</p>
