<p>Position Purpose</p> <p>Support the Facilities Department in various hands-on projects including construction, demolition, general maintenance, and office relocations. This role helps maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming campus environment.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assisting in the construction of new campus buildings or updates to existing structures</p> </li><li> <p>Performing basic facility maintenance tasks under supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Helping with demolition work and site clean-up</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting in the relocation and disposal of office furniture and construction materials</p> </li><li> <p>Ensuring work areas are kept clean and safe at all times</p> </li><li> <p>Following all safety protocols and procedures</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be enrolled as a student at Hocking College</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety</p> </li></ul> <p>Dress Code</p> <p>To ensure safety and professionalism on the job site, the following attire is required at all times:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Closed-toe shoes (work boots or sturdy shoes preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Work trousers (no shorts allowed)</p> </li><li> <p>Appropriate work shirts (no tank tops or sleeveless shirts)</p> </li></ul> <p>Failure to comply with the dress code may result in being sent home for the day or further disciplinary action.</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be requested and reviewed according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).</p>
