<p>Wee Care Pediatrics is looking for motivated, enthusiastic Medical Assistants to join their team!</p> <p>Postion: Medical Assistant</p> <p>Location: Syracuse</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>In this position, as a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside a provider seeing patients for both sick and well visits. Some of your duties will include rooming patients, taking patient medical history, obtaining vital signs and symptoms/complaints, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, updating patient charts, ordering various lab tests, preparing and administering medications as directed by the provider, assisting with in-office procedures (sutures, casting, circumcisions, etc.), and other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous MA work experience desired; experience in Pediatrics preferred. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients/parents. </li><li>Capable of prioritizing multiple job demands and work in a fast-paced health care environment. </li><li>Demonstrate compassion and understanding for the patient and families. </li><li>Basic computer knowledge. </li></ul> <p>If you are an enthusiastic Medical Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact on our patients' lives, we encourage you to apply.
