<p>POSITION: Library Tutor - 19.5 hours per week</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal</p> <p>SALARY: $20.00 per hour</p> <p>HOURS: 19.5 hours per week, until the end of this school year</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree preferably in education (minimum) </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and collaborative problem solving skills. </li><li>Successful prior experience working with general education students. </li><li>Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning and the ability to apply these practices. </li><li>Ability to plan student lessons and work independently with individuals and groups. </li><li>Commitment to the District's goals & school improvement plan goals. </li><li>Bilingualism is a highly desired skill for a position, but not a requirement </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Using prepared lesson plans, instruct at-risk individuals or small groups of students within the regular classroom and occasionally other settings. </li><li>Facilitate the instructional programs of all assigned students under the supervision of the classroom teacher, Title I Director and Building Principal. </li><li>Document student performance and progress in collaboration with the classroom teachers and/or the student's individual program requirements. </li><li>Plan appropriate instructional activities and administer assessments in collaboration with classroom teachers. </li><li>Meet regularly with other staff members and classroom teachers to coordinate interdisciplinary programs and activities. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee. </li></ul> <p>NON-DISCRIMINATION</p> <p>The Peabody School Committee reaffirms its policy of nondiscrimination related to race, religion, color, age, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness or handicap in all matters involved in procuring, employing, promoting, transferring or terminating the employment of personnel.
