Duties may include the performance of basic technical skills not requiring licensure, such as, but not limited to</p> <ul> <li>Operating Room (OR) cleaning and reset for the next case </li><li>Gathering equipment, case carts, and positioning aides for the next case </li><li>Holding extremity for surgical prep </li><li>Stocking of OR rooms, sub sterile, and specialty carts </li><li>Help with positioning patient for spinal anesthesia and surgery </li><li>Assist in patient transfers from OR bed to patient bed </li><li>Trauma room, Cardiac room, and Neuro room set up </li></ul> <p>Work which produces levels of mental/visual fatigue which are typical of jobs that perform a wide variety of duties with frequent and significant uncontrollable deadlines. Work may include the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT up to 40 percent of the time. Involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.</p> <ul> <li>Skill and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication and basic mathematics as acquired thought successful completion of high school or a general education degree (GED) required. </li><li>CNA certification preferred </li><li>Previous experience preferred </li><li>Obtains BLS certification by the end of the orientation period </li><li>Maintains BLS certification </li><li>The SSA must be able to communicate effectively both orally and through writing with all members of the healthcare team </li><li>The SSA must be able to comfortably accept delegation and negotiate task priorities. </li><li>Social sensitivity and the ability to communicate effectively in delicate situations (i.e., Gift </li></ul> <p>of Life surgeries and during transportation of patients from units to the OR)</p> <ul> <li>Answers signal lights, pages to assist nursing staff with patient needs </li><li>Transports patients to and from the OR </li><li>Assists nursing staff in OR as needed with opening of supplies or holding for preps </li><li>Assists in the positioning of patients under direction of registered nurse </li><li>Cleaning OR rooms and transporting supplies and equipment </li><li>Maintains a clean and orderly environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times </li><li>Stocks rooms, scrub sinks and sub sterile </li><li>Clean and maintain all storage rooms </li><li>Change linen on patients bed </li><li>Assumes responsibility for own growth and development; attends staff regular staff meeting </li><li>Communicates in a timely manner with the RN regarding equipment/supply needs </li><li>Provides skilled technical care according to unit-specific and generic structure standards, protocols and procedures </li><li>Manages incoming tubes from tube station and deliver meds or other items to the RN </li><li>Meets Bronson's Standards of Excellence </li><li>Supports the goals of the unit and participates in department performance improvement </li><li>Follows organizational guidelines for effective hand hygiene consistently </li><li>Laser operator </li></ul> <p>Agency Use Policy and Agency Submittal Disclaimer</p> <p>Bronson Healthcare Group and its affiliates ("Bronson") strictly prohibit the acceptance of unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third-party recruiting agencies ("Recruiters") in response to job postings or word of mouth.
