<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The AOG Planner is responsible for the end-to-end planning, scheduling, and resource coordination required to resolve Aircraft on Ground events quickly and efficiently. This role ensures that the right technicians, parts, tooling, and information are deployed to the right place at the right time, with minimal downtime to the customer's aircraft. Operating in a high-pressure, 24/7/365 environment, the AOG Planner plays a central role in orchestrating service response, maintaining accurate job tracking, and communicating status updates to both internal teams and external clients.</p> <p>This position will not require physical maintenance to be performed on the aircraft.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Plan and schedule AOG field maintenance responses, ensuring alignment of manpower, tooling, and materials for rapid aircraft return-to-service (RTS). </li><li>Coordinate travel and logistics for field technicians, including lodging and transportation, to support on-site maintenance events in various locations. </li><li>Initiate and manage work orders in maintenance tracking systems (e.g., Corridor), maintaining clear and accurate service event records. </li><li>Track AOG events in real time, adjusting resource allocation and job sequencing to adapt to evolving conditions. </li><li>Ensure part and tooling availability by coordinating with supply chain, vendors, and shipping services for expedited delivery to field locations. </li><li>Serve as primary point of contact for internal teams and customers during active AOG events, providing timely updates on status, ETA, and completion. </li><li>Maintain an AOG performance dashboard to track response times, downtime, and closure rates for operational improvement. </li><li>Support post-event debriefs and reporting, identifying process improvements and lessons learned. </li><li>Perform other related duties as required to support the AOG department's mission. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Primarily office environment, with occasional travel for operational support or training. </li><li>Extended or irregular hours may be required to meet AOG response needs. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to communicate clearly via phone, email, and virtual platforms. </li><li>Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time. </li><li>Must be able to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively with colleagues and external partners. </li><li>Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching as required to carry out routine office tasks. </li><li>Ability to occasionally lift and move office supplies or equipment up to 15-20 pounds. </li><li>Vision requirements include close vision for computer and paperwork. </li></ul> <p>EEO statement</p> <p>flyExclusive does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sex stereotyping, gender identity, gender expression or transgender status), national origin, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, age, protected genetic information, status as a parent, marital status, political affiliation, or retaliation based on prior protected EEO activity.</p> <p>Other duties</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to plan and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. </li><li>Strong organizational and scheduling skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent communication skills - capable of providing clear, concise updates to customers and internal teams. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and maintenance tracking systems. </li><li>Customer-focused mindset with a sense of urgency for time-critical operations. </li><li>Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 AOG operations. </li><li>Self-motivated, decisive, and able to manage multiple events simultaneously. </li></ul> <p>Cognitive and Analytical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Strong critical thinking skills for resource planning and problem-solving. </li><li>Ability to interpret maintenance tracking data and adapt plans accordingly. </li><li>Comfortable making quick, informed decisions under time constraints. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Competencies & System Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Aviation maintenance tracking platforms (Corridor, CAMP, etc.) </li><li>Workflow/task management tools (Airtable, Smartsheet, etc.) </li><li>Prior experience in AOG planning, MRO scheduling, or aviation logistics coordination. </li><li>Advanced Excel (pivot tables, filters, analytics). </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and provide two forms of federal identification. </li><li>High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree in aviation management, logistics, or related field preferred. </li><li>Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position. </li></ul> <p>Preferred education and experience</p> <ul> <li>1 to 3 years Aerospace/ Aeronautics Experience </li></ul>
