Managing over $120 billion in liquid assets, borrowings, derivatives, and mobilized portfolios, the Vice Presidency plays a central role in delivering on IFC's strategy to create markets and mobilize private capital for development. It oversees liquidity and funding operations, local-currency and risk-management transactions, and capital market advisory services. Within this structure, the Capital Market and Investment (CTM) department serves as the front office for market-facing treasury activities, managing cash, liquid assets, and funding operations across global hubs. CTM also leads strategic initiatives such as the IFC/WB Joint Capital Markets Program (J-CAP) and capital markets education and advisory programs that support local market development and financial resilience.</p> <p>CTM is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Business Advisor and Analyst to join the CTM team as an Extended Term Consultant (ETC). This role will serve as a subject matter expert and project lead for the implementation of the Murex platform, with a focus on back-office and accounting integration. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in treasury operations, financial accounting, and technology transformation, along with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, engage senior stakeholders, and deliver high-impact solutions that support IFC's evolving treasury infrastructure.</p> <p>Primary responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Represent CTM and Treasury VPU in the Murex implementation project as Subject Matter Expert, especially in relation to back office and accounting streams and their integration with front-end processes and downstream report generation. </li><li>Perform lead business analyst role to collaborate with different stakeholders while filling the knowledge gap for IFC staff in relation to Murex. </li><li>Collaborate with portfolio managers and team members on Murex-related questions. </li><li>Identify and drive the business process improvements from the current state of technology to the target platform and architecture </li><li>Plan and provide training and demo sessions to build know-how within the institution. </li><li>Oversee the testing phase of the project. </li><li>Provide guidance during the build and implementation phase of the project to ensure the success of deliverables in a timely manner </li><li>Proactively steer project meetings with business units, vendors, and other internal counterparts to ensure alignment of business objectives. </li><li>Be the liaison between senior management and project stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>Selection Criteria</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in a relevant discipline with extensive knowledge of treasury management and financial accounting (US GAAP) for commercial and investment banks. </li><li>A minimum of 12 years of experience, including experience leading a treasury business, experience leading a team engaged in a Murex implementation (Murex 3 platform highly preferred), and experience leading a transition from a legacy system. </li><li>Previous experience as a front-office consultant/stream lead with implementation. </li><li>Ability to translate complex investment and trading business processes into project deliverables. </li><li>Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, manage expectations, and lead an appropriate decision-making process. </li><li>Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Continuous Integration / Delivery tools & practices, and project management methodologies. </li><li>Understanding of IFC Treasury's core businesses and their links to IFC Operations. </li><li>Understanding of all the instruments used by IFC Treasury to conduct its business, including accounting for such instruments. </li><li>Experience working with other financial platforms such as Summit, Bloomberg, Markitwire, etc. </li></ul> <p>WBG Culture Attributes:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Sense of Urgency - Anticipating and quickly reacting to the needs of internal and external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Thoughtful Risk Taking - Taking informed and thoughtful risks and making courageous decisions to push boundaries for greater impact.</p> </li><li> <p>Empowerment and Accountability - Engaging with others in an empowered and accountable manner for impactful results.</p> </li></ol> <p>World Bank Group Core Competencies</p>
