<p>Department</p> <p>Young Scholars Program</p> <p>Florida State University Department of Biological Science</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Counselors will be involved in all supervisory aspects of the program, including monitoring student attendance in classes, accompanying students on off-campus trips, overseeing dormitory activities, directing special events, and providing tutoring and informal academic support. Counselors are expected to interact with students on a personal basis and provide appropriate support while maintaining strong boundaries. All counselors will work together to submit a thoughtful written evaluation of the personal characteristics of each student at the end of the program.</p> <p>Counselors are expected to strictly adhere to and enforce program rules and policies and to support all other program staff in this regard. Counselors are expected to serve as positive role models at all times by exhibiting good behavior and upholding the program's integrity.
