<p>Registered Nurse - Surgery</p> <p>Schedule: Full Time, 40 hrs. 1100-1930 Monday-Friday with call and holiday rotation.</p> <p>Location: Rochester, Michigan</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. </li><li>Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. </li><li>Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. </li><li>Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. </li><li>Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Obtain and maintain BLS certification on completion of hospital orientation required. </li><li>Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license at time of hire/transfer date required. </li><li>Graduate from an accredit School of Nursing at time of hire/transfer date. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of Growth and Development over life span for all ages required. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple high-tech equipment /information devices simultaneously required. </li><li>Must be able to take on-call shift. </li><li>Must be able to flex. </li><li>Must have minimum of two (2) years OR experience required. </li></ul> <p>Preferences:</p> <ul> <li>Current CNOR certification desired preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Henry Ford Rochester Hospital </li><li>Department: Surgery 001 </li><li>Shift: Evening Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
