This role plays a key part in shaping the college's voice across digital and print platforms. The Colleges of Liberal Arts & Sciences comprises of the Colleges of Humanities, Science, and Social and Behavioral Science. This position will join the LAS Marketing & Communications team.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Write, edit and proofread a wide range of content including long-form articles, feature stories, newsletters, blog posts, and magazine articles. </li><li>Translate complex academic and research topics into clear, compelling narratives. </li><li>Collaborate with staff, faculty, and students to identify and develop story ideas. </li><li>Maintain consistency in tone, style and brand messaging across all communications. </li><li>Assist in content planning and editorial calendar management. </li><li>Conduct interviews and gather information to support storytelling initiatives. </li><li>Stay current on higher education trends and audience engagement strategies. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communication or a related field. </li><li>4+ years of experience in professional writing or content creation (higher education experience preferred). </li><li>Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. </li></ul> <p>Preferences Type Benefited Staff Special Instructions Summary</p> <p>Please submit2-3 writing samples.</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
