<p>Benhaven Residential is seeking a well-qualified Residential Manager for our 3-bed group home located in Northford.</p> <p>The Residential Manager will report directly to the Director of Residential Services.</p> <p>The ideal candidate must be able to manage group home systems and resident programs (including health and behavior) for a 3-bed CLA group home. The candidate must also be able to implement agency policies and procedures related to the group home as well as staff development. Must have experience working with the DDS population and systems within a residential setting.</p> <p>Schedule: 37.5 hour per week, flexible (exempt)</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>The following duties are assigned to this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the daily operation of a 3-bed CLA group home. </li><li>Ensure appropriately trained, quality staff are available for each shift. </li><li>Ensure staff are trained as required and as necessary by CT DDS to perform quality work. </li><li>Ensure staff are evaluated as required by policy. </li><li>Ensure all staff are provided with quality supervision and feedback is given as necessary. </li><li>Ensure that roles are distributed appropriately to provide necessary support. </li><li>Oversee safe and clean use of home, yard, and vehicle. </li><li>Ensure records are on file that are current, complete, and meet requirements as designated by the policy and DDS. </li><li>Participate in establishing house budget and ensure that expenditures remain within established limits. </li><li>Ensure that staff know and comply with Benhaven's policies and procedures. </li><li>Oversee the development and implementation of each IP according to policy and within required timeframes; and know the requirements for staff training, documentation and effectiveness. </li><li>Ensure programs are evaluated for effectiveness and progress, documentation and reporting. </li><li>Ensure information is communicated professionally to families, guardians and outside agencies. </li><li>Oversee all aspects of resident-staff programs and ensure routines are developed, coordinated and optimally managed. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, a college degree preferred. </li><li>Must have experience managing CT DDS Group Homes. </li><li>Experience with autism and/or developmental disabilities. </li><li>Experience supervising and training staff. </li><li>Experience or ability to lead resident programming, including developing, monitoring, and documenting as required. </li><li>The flexibility of schedule to meet the needs of the home including on-call responsibilities. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication. </li><li>Strong computer skills.
