<p>One teaching position available for 2025-2026 school year: Social Studies</p> <p>PLEASE APPLY ON THE LPCSC WEBSITE https://skyward01.lpcsc.k12.in.us/scripts/wsisa.dll/WService=wsFin/rapplmnu03.w</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Indiana Teaching License meeting Highly Qualified Standards: </li></ul> <p>Rules 46-47: Social Studies</p> <p>Rules 2002: Social Studies with high school setting</p> <ul> <li>Willingness to assume extra-curricular activities is also favored </li></ul> <p>Before an individual (permanent or substitute) can work with students or have his/her name submitted for approval to the Board of School Trustees, the candidate must complete the background check authorization (at a cost of $15.00--cash or check) and the background check must receive a "cleared" rating. Additionally, the individual must complete a federal I-9 form (providing appropriate identification documents); tax forms; a direct-deposit form (with an attached voided check); and, view training videos at the Educational Services Center (approximately one hour in length).</p> <p>Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <p>Instructs students in subject matter, utilizing various teaching methods, such as lecture and demonstration, and uses audiovisuals aids and other materials to supplement presentations.</p> <p>Prepares teaching outline (course syllabus/lesson plans) for course of study, assigns lessons, and corrects homework papers.</p> <p>Integrates and utilizes identified Essential Skills in lesson planning, presentation, and assessment.</p> <p>Demonstrates knowledge of State Standards and Indicators through their integration and use as instructional/learning bench marks.</p> <p>Integrates and utilizes adopted corporation curriculum materials appropriate to grade level</p> <p>lesson planning, presentation, and assessment.</p> <p>Administers tests to evaluate pupil's progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress.</p> <p>Keeps attendance records.</p> <p>Maintains discipline in the classroom and provides adult supervision throughout the</p> <p>building.</p> <p>Participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.</p> <p>Performs related duties, such as sponsoring one or more special activities or student organizations, assisting pupils in selecting course of study, and counseling them in adjustment and academic problems.</p> <p>Health, dental, life, LTD insurance</p> <p>401a annuity (equal to 1% of teacher's annual salary) provided by corporation</p> <p>Teacher Retirement Fund (equal to 3% of teacher's annual salary) provided by corporation</p> <p>4 paid holidays</p> <p>12 paid leave days for the first year, 10 awarded annually thereafter</p> <p>severance benefits upon retirement</p>
