<p>Kforce's client is seeking a skilled remote Cognos Report Writer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality reports and dashboards supporting enterprise reporting and risk/compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong IBM Cognos Analytics experience, with preferred exposure to the OpenPages reporting layer, and will work closely with a Cognos Solutions Architect to deliver scalable, accurate, and performant reporting solutions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, test, and maintain reports and dashboards using Company Cognos Analytics </li><li>Leverage the OpenPages reporting layer (preferred) to support GRC, risk, and compliance reporting needs </li><li>Partner closely with a Cognos Solutions Architect to align reporting solutions with enterprise architecture and data models </li><li>Translate business and technical requirements into effective reporting solutions </li><li>Optimize report performance, ensure data accuracy, and follow reporting best practices </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve report, data, and performance issues </li><li>Support enhancements, modifications, and ongoing maintenance of existing Cognos reports </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and validate outputs </li><li>Document report logic, data sources, and design standards </li></ul> <p>What Success Looks Like:</p> <ul> <li>High-quality, performant Cognos reports delivered on time </li><li>Effective collaboration with the Cognos Solutions Architect and business stakeholders </li><li>Accurate, trusted reporting that supports business and compliance decision-making </li><li>Well-documented and maintainable reporting solutions* Demonstrated experience as a Cognos Report Writer/Developer </li><li>Strong hands-on experience with Company Cognos Analytics (reporting, dashboards, data modules, Framework Manager concepts) </li><li>Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL </li><li>Experience translating business requirements into technical reporting solutions </li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience developing Cognos reports using the OpenPages reporting layer </li><li>Background supporting GRC, risk, compliance, audit, or regulatory reporting </li><li>Experience working in partnership with solution or data architects </li><li>Familiarity with enterprise data warehouses and complex data models </li></ul>
