<p>Are you an experienced construction professional ready to lead diverse projects from concept to completion? Our Facilities Maintenance and Operations Department is seeking a dedicated Construction Manager to oversee critical construction and renovation initiatives.</p> <p>In this role, you </p> <ul> <li>Work with the project architect to evolve a "value engineered" design which is optimized to be easy to construct and still satisfy user requirements.   </li><li>Develop construction/renovation budgets by estimating labor, material, equipment, and time requirements. </li><li>Utilize hired employees and sub-contractors in very highly specialized and complex areas. </li><li>Maintain job records, requisition supplies and equipment, prepare material and job specifications, and maintain accountability for supplies and equipment. </li><li>Recruit qualified skilled construction trade workers and assist staff with personnel and operational problems. </li><li>Plan, confer with, and give administrative direction to staff engaged in construction/renovation projects. </li><li>Develop standards, policies, and procedures, set priorities, and inspect work while in progress and upon completion. </li><li>Reschedule work crews as necessary to meet changing needs and determine priorities within work plan. </li><li>Supervise the maintenance of timecards, overtime sheets, building plans, and blueprints. </li><li>Supervise and evaluate performance, schedule and approve employees leave requests, and counsels and disciplines employees. </li><li>Coordinate during design and construction phases with departments sponsoring projects.    </li><li>Keep immediate supervisor and designated others accurately informed concerning work progress, including present and potential work problems and suggestions for new or improved ways of addressing such problems. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED, and </li><li>At least five (5) years of experience managing construction/renovation projects; or </li><li>Any equivalent combination of experience and training. </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>College-level courses in Engineering or Construction. </li></ul>
