<p>Hicks Nurseries is the largest garden center on Long Island! We are seeking a Custodial Staff Member to join our team.</p> <p>This is a part-time year around position with a flexible schedule (various weekend shifts). Approximately 30 hours a week.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Clean all assigned areas, while following established procedures in a timely manner </li><li>Areas: bathrooms, offices, break rooms, store areas, etc. </li><li>Use tools and supplies, economically for each task </li><li>Advise manager when supplies are running low </li><li>Empty garbage, trash, and recycling cans </li><li>Remove and deposit garbage, trash, and recycling from assigned areas to appropriate receptacles </li><li>Maintain coffee machine in employee lunchroom </li><li>Replenish coffee and filters daily </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in English. </li><li>Detailed oriented and ability to prioritize projects. </li></ul> <p>Work Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Near constant physical activity required, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, squeezing, and grasping. </li><li>Must be able to lift 10 lbs. consistently and 25 lbs. occasionally. </li></ul>
