<p>Objective</p> <p>Drive the future of mobility with us as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with Nemak in Augusta, GA. The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical and hydraulic systems supporting die-casting machines, hydraulic presses, and auxiliary equipment in high-pressure die-casting (HPDC) operations. This position will also support preventive maintenance initiatives, equipment installations, and cross-functional collaboration with automation, electrical, and robotics teams.</p> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>401(k) with company contribution </li><li>Company-paid dental and vision insurance </li><li>Company-paid life insurance </li><li>Medical insurance with prescription coverage </li><li>Paid holidays </li><li>Wellness and reimbursement programs </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) </li><li>Telehealth and behavioral health access </li></ul> <p>Shift Information</p> <ul> <li>Multiple Shifts Available </li><li>First Shift | Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM </li><li>Second Shift | Monday to Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>3 years of experience in mechanical and hydraulic maintenance required, preferably in HPDC or metal casting industries </li><li>Experience reading and interpreting mechanical and hydraulic schematics </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems </li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic schematics </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex hydraulic issues </li><li>Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to changing circumstances </li><li>Ability to identify risks and implement precautionary actions </li><li>Knowledge of process improvement methods to support operational efficiency </li><li>Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Projects </li><li>Knowledge of the SAP PM module </li><li>Ability to prioritize work, analyze data logically, and collaborate effectively across teams </li><li>Accountability, assertiveness, and change management awareness </li><li>Ability to support team engagement and people development </li></ul> <p>Main Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician</p> <ul> <li>Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and mechanical systems in die casting equipment </li><li>Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime </li><li>Analyze hydraulic schematics and troubleshoot complex mechanical and hydraulic issues </li><li>Assist with commissioning and installation of new equipment </li><li>Collaborate with automation, electrical, and robotics teams to support operations </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance best practices </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul>
