More information regarding the University's COVID vaccination requirement, exemptions, and verification of vaccination status may be found at the University's "COVID-19 Vaccine Information" webpage: http://www.harvard.edu/coronavirus/covid-19-vaccine-information/.</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operates shuttle bus on designated routes on the Cambridge and Allston campuses. </li><li>Operates shuttle van to meet scheduled and on-demand passenger pick-up requests </li><li>Operates transit vehicles for charters and extended services. </li><li>Communicates on two-way radio with dispatcher to receive instructions and confirm changes, additions, or deletions from route schedule. </li><li>Performs daily safety inspection of vehicle and equipment. Completes vehicle condition report which includes requests for maintenance and repair. </li><li>Performs daily cleaning of vehicle interior including: emptying the trash receptacles, sweeping/washing the floor, and dusting the seating surfaces. </li><li>Performs refueling and electric recharging of vehicles as needed. </li><li>Assists passengers with mobility impairments both entering and exiting vehicle. </li><li>Performs related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Note: This is a two year term position.</p> <ul> <li>Operates shuttle bus and van service. </li><li>Receives instructions from radio dispatcher and responds to requests throughout Cambridge/Allston campuses. </li><li>Normal hours of work will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday (Sat/Sun off), 40 hrs/wk during the academic year. </li><li>Management will have the discretion to alter work schedule day with a 48-hour notice to employee to cover for vacations/extended absences/open shifts/charters. </li></ul>
