Work is performed based on verbal/ written work orders which may include guidelines and drawing, and tasks do not typically require exercising independent judgment </li></ul> <p>Tasks</p> <ul> <li>Functions as a helper to pipefitters, ironworkers, painters, insulators and maintenance mechanics on new installations and repairs of existing systems </li><li>Applies company maintenance material standards and creates material lists/quantities as needed for specific projects </li><li>Break duct work down on packaging lines </li><li>Assist Maintenance Mechanic in routine tasks </li><li>Assist and complete work orders </li><li>Assist on PMs as directed </li><li>Ability to rebuild pumps, will train </li><li>Performs required tasks safely and on-time </li><li>Transports/organizes various items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) to ensure availability of materials to efficiently execute work </li><li>Responds to urgent situations to resolve immediate safety concerns </li><li>Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management for the betterment of Jost operations </li></ul> <p>Specifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>H.S. diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>Training/experience in industrial setting preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of:</p> </li><li> <p>Arithmetic and Geometry (Basic levels)</p> </li><li> <p>Industrial safety, health and environmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures (Basic level)</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in:</p> </li><li> <p>Organization of tools and materials</p> </li><li> <p>Use of standard tools and equipment of the insulating trade</p> </li><li> <p>Functioning independently and within a team environment</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding drawings, instructions and service manuals</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to:</p> </li><li> <p>Work in extreme cold and hot (120F) industrial environments</p> </li><li> <p>Work from oral and written instructions, sketches, and diagrams in English</p> </li><li> <p>Lift up to 50 pounds and drive fork truck in safe and efficient manner</p> </li><li> <p>Work safely from ladders and scaffolds</p> </li><li> <p>Follow established company policies and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Operate and maintain wide variety of maintenance tools and equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Exhibit manual dexterity, perceptual speed and extent flexibility</p> </li><li> <p>Adapt/respond to rapidly changing priorities based on business needs</p> </li><li> <p>Pass pre-employment physical with drug screen and physical capabilities test</p> </li></ul>
