<p>This Opportunity</p> <p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a Chief Inspector to be based out of our Glastonbury, Connecticut office with an interest in highway, bridge and rail engineering/construction. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and a part of a growing organization that meets our client objectives and solves their challenges.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>Assign and supervise construction inspection team members. </li><li>Review and check inspector's daily work reports for correctness and accuracy. </li><li>Keeping the Resident Engineer informed of field construction operations. </li><li>Participate in meetings and ensure the field staff is conforming to all health and safety standards. </li><li>Communicate with contractor's foreman and supervisors regarding work schedules and work operations. </li><li>Talent is the essence of meeting of client's objectives, goals and challenges. If this sounds like a fit for you, we'd love to have the first discussion of you joining our team. </li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>Minimum 11 years of acceptable inspection experience. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills of technical documents. </li><li>Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. </li><li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and harassment policies. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Construction Management </li><li>Professional Engineers license </li><li>Certified Construction Manager (CCM) </li><li>Engineer-in-Training certification </li><li>NICET IV or acceptable equivalent ASCE grade </li><li>Specific experience with CTDOT construction projects that include highways, bridges, rail, and other transportation related type projects. </li><li>OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification </li></ul> <p>#LI-DS1</p>
