Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this role is responsible for the comprehensive leadership and management of the Women's Soccer program - from recruiting and developing talented student-athletes to building a culture of excellence both on the field and in the classroom.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is a proven coach and mentor who brings strong organizational skills, a commitment to compliance, and a genuine passion for student-athlete development. This position plays a key role in advancing intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the Westminster University experience, in alignment with the University's mission, vision, and values - including a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.</p> <p>Westminster University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA II) and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.</p> <p>Main Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes. </li><li>Supervise and hire assistant(s). </li><li>Budgeting, scheduling, and travel arrangements. </li><li>Organize and supervise practices. </li><li>Event management assistance. </li><li>Order and maintain all equipment. </li><li>Compliance with institutional, conference and national governing regulations. </li><li>Assist with fundraising and outreach efforts for the program. </li><li>Student-athlete mentoring and welfare. </li><li>Work closely with other staff to promote intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the University learning environment and support the academic success of student-athletes. </li><li>Perform all responsibilities with the highest ethical standards consistent with the University's mission, vision and values which include diversity, equity and inclusion. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Intercollegiate Athletics Compliance Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain knowledge of and comply with NCAA rules and regulations </li><li>Follow all institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations </li><li>NCAA violations may result in disciplinary action </li><li>Must attend required meetings and trainings associated with compliance duties </li><li>Perform all responsibilities with the highest ethical standards consistent with the University's mission, vision and values which include diversity, equityand inclusion </li></ul> <p>Operational Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Schedule outside normal business hours. </li><li>This position requires an irregular work schedule including days, nights, weekends and travel. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree. </li><li>Demonstrate a record of success in coaching soccer and recruiting student athletes at the collegiate level preferred. </li><li>Ability to work independently. </li><li>Effective motivational skills. </li><li>Strong leadership and organizational skills. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and public relation communication skills. </li><li>Ability to create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. </li><li>Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with high standards and goals. </li><li>Commitment to high academic and professional standards. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree. </li><li>Periodic overnight travel may be required. </li><li>Regular travel throughout the year and/or at specified times of the year will be required. </li><li>Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required. </li><li>Ability to respond toon-call as assigned, including evenings and weekends is required. </li><li>Valid driver's license and successful DMV check required. </li><li>Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch required. </li><li>Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds is required. </li><li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds required. </li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance </li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO) </li><li>Paid Parental Leave </li><li>Paid Family and Medical Leave </li><li>403(b) Retirement Plan with a 5.5% employer contribution </li><li>Tuition Remission (after a qualifying period of employment) </li><li>18 Paid Holidays Annually </li><li>Cell Phone Plan Discounts </li></ul> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity:</p> <p>Westminster University is committed to a diversified workforce, equal opportunity, and nondiscrimination.
