<p>2026-2027 Middle School Mathematics Teacher (1.0 FTE)</p> <p>Start Date: August 26, 2026</p> <p>New Faculty Orientation held on August 21 & 24, 2026</p> <p>In our Upper School (5-8), we use the team-based middle-level learning model for Grades 6-8: a core grade-level team consisting of an English language arts (ELA), mathematics, science, and social studies teacher. Each team has a special education liaison and works closely with specialists and related-service providers (RSPs) as well.</p> <p>As part of a grade-level team, each core teacher has an assigned advisory group in that grade. Our model allows for collaborative time with team colleagues, and our district provides regular meeting time to connect with other school and district colleagues in the department and beyond. Utilizing Responsive Classroom practices and aligning to our AIDE lens, our school is looking for a set of dynamic, diverse candidates excited to engage with our middle-level learners.</p> <p>For the 2026-27 school year, this position will be a mathematics teaching position in Grade 7. In the coming years, the position will include an additional core subject area, and possible grade-level change, as we fully implement cohesive and holistic three-section core teams that are developmentally appropriate for young adolescents. Candidates with dual/multi-certification, such as, but not limited to, Middle School Mathematics/Science (5-8) or Elementary (1-6) for Grade 6, are strongly encouraged to apply.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>DESE Teacher Licensure in at least one of the following: Middle School Mathematics/Science 5-8, Mathematics 5-8, Elementary 1-6 (if Grade 6), Mathematics 1-6 (if Grade 6), or Mathematics 8-12 (if Grade 8). Having an additional certification in another core subject area, or having the willingness to obtain an additional certification, is highly preferred. </li><li>Flexibility to teach another core subject area in addition to middle-level mathematics. </li><li>A deep understanding of middle-level education and young adolescent development. </li></ul> <p>Applicants selected will be subject to security background investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility and suitability requirements.</p> <ul> <li>Members of underrepresented racial and ethnic groups are strongly encouraged to apply. </li><li>All faculty new to the district are assigned a first-year mentor. </li><li>This position reports to the school principal. </li><li>This position also works under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the K-8 STEM Coordinator. </li><li>Learn more about the Lincoln Public Schools at: LPS Employment Homepage </li></ul> <p>Lincoln, Massachusetts:</p> <p>Lincoln is a residential suburb located 12 miles northwest of Boston.
