Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.</p> <p> </p> <p>This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County. </p> <p>Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).</p> <p> </p> <p>This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 3301 Terminal Dr, Raleigh, NC 27604.</p> <p>The NC Disability Determination Services (NCDDS) Division is the state agency responsible for making medical determinations on disability claims for the Social Security Administration and state Medicaid office. The division adjudicates over 140,000 initial disability applications, reconsiderations, reviews for continuing eligibility, and continuing disability review appeals annually under the Social Security and Supplemental Security Income program and disability applications for medical assistance. The NCDDS Budget & Planning Unit is responsible for federal and state budget activities that support the division. This position reports to the Procurement Specialist II and supports the Division's purchasing activities with the following duties, not limited to: <em>Entering requisitions in the NC E Procurement system per assigned commodity codes. </em>Assist with routine maintenance and meter counts for copier machines. <em>Work with vendors to request sub W-9's and request quotes for goods and services. </em>Schedule repairs, installation and delivery of equipment and vendor escorts. <em>Updating tracking spreadsheets, monitoring open invoices in NCFS for payment verification. </em>Verify payment of invoices, research supplier/vendor information. * Assist with year-end inventory count for supplies and other duties as assigned. </p> <p>NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.
