<p>Job Title: Survey Crew Chief</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Survey Crew Chief to lead and support our survey operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in survey instrument operation and be adept with Trimble survey equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work both independently and collaboratively in the field.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist the field supervisor with all aspects of the daily crew workload. </li><li>Work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety regulations. </li><li>Supervise the survey crew in the absence of the crew chief. </li><li>Operate independently as a one-person crew when necessary. </li><li>Upload and download data collectors daily. </li><li>Maintain and charge survey instrumentation daily. </li><li>Continuously advance knowledge with technology upgrades. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>3-5 years of experience in surveying </li><li>Proficiency with Trimble survey equipment (GPS, total station) </li><li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Experience in survey instrument operation </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with PennDOT or highway projects is a plus </li><li>Knowledge in topography, land surveying, topographic surveys, ALTA, land development, GPS, survey tech, and Carlson </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is dynamic and flexible, offering both fieldwork and office settings.
