<p>Job Title Marketing Assistant - Part Time - Baxter Arena Department Events Planning Essential Functions</p> <p>The Marketing Assistant will be responsible in assisting with marketing efforts for Baxter Arena. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to work in the facility and/or the sports industry as well as outstanding communication skills.</p> <p>Work Schedule Varies Additional Duties</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for prospecting, selling, cultivating and maintaining client relationships for Baxter Arena events </li><li>Coordinate guest communication through the concert announcements, pre-show, and post-event periods and oversee tracking of seating problems and guest concerns, provide resolutions and responses in conjunction with Omaha Athletics and Baxter Arena staff </li><li>Maintain placing ad buys for concerts and other Baxter Arena events </li><li>Assist in maintaining the Baxter Arena website </li><li>Assist in maintaining the Baxter Arena social media platforms </li><li>Assist in developing the marketing plans for Baxter Arena </li><li>Assist with media requests at concerts </li><li>Generate ideas and execute plans on how to market our facility to the community </li><li>Create ideas for ways to promote Baxter Arena events </li><li>Assisting with community relations and seeking events to attend as well as attending events as a representative of Baxter Arena </li><li>Assisting with the athletics external department as needed </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work days, nights, and weekends as needed, flexible scheduling </li><li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under tight deadlines </li><li>High standard of professionalism, ethics, excellence and integrity </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
