<p>Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Join a dynamic team at a growing manufacturing facility in Anderson, Indiana, specializing in engine and chassis components for the heavy trucking industry. We are seeking an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to our expansion and success. With significant growth on the horizon, this role is pivotal in our journey from $10M to $40M in business.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure seamless operation of manufacturing processes. </li><li>Troubleshoot machine issues and perform machine setups. </li><li>Develop new parts and modify existing parts for customers using prints and defining tooling. </li><li>Engage in plant layout adjustments and equipment relocation. </li><li>Conduct hands-on work on the floor with new business projects and programs (40%). </li><li>Troubleshoot and implement process improvements (30%). </li><li>Engage in desk work, including programming and drawing with MasterCam and Solidworks (30%). </li><li>Participate in daily huddles with the engineering team. </li><li>Travel occasionally for short durations to other plant locations. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 7 years of experience with metal machining in a production environment. </li><li>Proficiency in CNC programming, with a preference for MasterCam. </li><li>Capability to fully set up CNC machines, with expertise in mills and lathes. </li><li>Experience in fixture design. </li><li>Familiarity with Solidworks. </li><li>Experience in root cause analysis for process improvements. </li><li>Knowledge of Control Plans & PFMEAs. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>An associate or bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is advantageous. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work hours are from 6am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as project deadlines approach. The CNC shop is temperature-controlled, with plans for expanding the production floor. Currently a team of 25, the workforce is expected to grow significantly.
