<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Provides instruction to students enrolled in introductory-level history courses. This is an in-person position that will be required to teach classes at multiple campuses and off-campus sites, including high schools. Duties include conducting appropriate learning activities, maintaining effective instructional management, participating in all required orientation, meetings and trainings, adhering to all college- designated deadlines, and participating in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assesments.</p> <p>This position is located on various Midlands Technical College campuses and off- campus instructional sites.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>Master of Arts in History; or Master of Arts in a related field plus 18 graduate credit hours in history.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Past experience in teaching introductory college history courses, especially in the community college setting is preferred.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College's established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.</p>
