<p>Department Summary:</p> <p>The Program for Language Equity (PLE) in the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital advances language equity through clinical innovation, education, advocacy, and research. The PLE works to improve access, quality, and safety for patients and families who use languages other than English for care by building sustainable programs, policies, and partnerships that support institutional change. The PLE collaborates closely with Interpreter Services, while maintaining a distinct scope focused on program development, strategy, education, and organizational systems rather than direct point-of-care interpretation. The Program is led by Director Dr. Alisa Khan, MD, MPH and Associate Director Dr. Bianca Quiñones-Pérez, MD.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>As the Program Manager, you will develop and implement program plans, oversee operations, and support the continued growth and evolution of a high-visibility program. You will build durable systems, support strategic planning, manage budgets, follow up on key programmatic deliverables, and represent PLE across internal and external stakeholders.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage all PLE program operations, including work planning, tracking priorities, timelines, and deliverables, and supporting budget monitoring and projections in collaboration with program leadership </li><li>Identify, develop, and implement systems, workflows, and materials that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability of PLE initiatives </li><li>Support strategic planning and program growth, translating high-level goals into actionable plans and operational structures </li><li>Oversee project scope and timelines across PLE initiatives; identify risks, surface issues, and recommend solutions </li><li>Hire, supervise, train, evaluate, and support staff to advance effectiveness and professional development </li><li>Develop high-quality written and verbal materials including reports, request for proposals, grants, presentations, executive summaries, and internal and external communications </li><li>Represent PLE to clinical teams, hospital leadership, Interpreter Services, and internal and external partners </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and institutions to advance program objectives </li><li>Support visibility and dissemination of PLE activities through internal and external communications, presentations, and other channels </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required </li><li>Master's degree preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 4 years of experience in program management, operations, healthcare administration, or a related field </li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities in complex organizations </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging business-facing and executive-level audiences </li><li>Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, negotiation, and persuasion </li><li>Experience working in healthcare, public health, government, higher education, or nonprofit environments </li><li>Experience or interest in health equity, language access, or accessibility initiatives preferred </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with demonstrated Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and analysis </li><li>Experience with quality improvement, operational improvement, or strategic planning preferred </li><li>Familiarity with budgets, grants, or funding reporting preferred </li><li>Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external constituencies </li><li>Bilingual proficiency in a language other than English is a plus </li></ul> <p>The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.</p> <p>Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
