They keep us moving forward, which is why we consider each one to be a valued part of the Dearing family.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The company is seeking a competent driver with DOT credentials to make deliveries to businesses.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to</p> <ul> <li>Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes-some addresses will be industrial while other will be rural </li><li>Follow routes and time schedule </li><li>Load, unload, prepare, inspect, maintain, and operate delivery vehicles and trailers </li><li>Maintain computer report logs of mileage, maintenance, and fuel for company fleet </li><li>Safely and effectively secure the load/ cargo </li><li>Provide customer service/ resolve issues </li><li>Follow DOT regulations and safety standards </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license is required, CDL preferred </li><li>Good driving record is required </li><li>Must be able to pass a DOT physical </li><li>Ability to operate heavy machinery in a variety of weather and traffic conditions </li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills </li><li>Common computer skills are necessary </li><li>Schedule regularly has a start and end time </li><li>Overtime and overnights may be required </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
