<p>Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Department and collaborates with the Director to develop and implement education, facilitate clinical operations, and support daily operations. They are responsible for assisting with staff selection, orientation of staff, scheduling staff, ensuring policy and procedures reflect current practice standards as well as ensuring Respiratory Department is stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies.</p> <p>Job Profile Summary: Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Department and collaborates with the Director to develop and implement education, facilitate clinical operations, and support daily operations. They are responsible for assisting with staff selection, orientation of staff, scheduling staff, ensuring policy and procedures reflect current practice standards as well as ensuring Respiratory Department is stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies.</p> <p>Required Qualifications and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years as a Respiratory Therapist </li><li>Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to perform all the functions contained in the Respiratory Therapist's Job Descriptions. </li><li>Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Must be able to work within a budget. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Able to communicate effectively with all age groups </li><li>Command of verbal and written English, demonstration of clinical competence, ability to set up a variety of clinical equipment. </li></ul> <p>Other duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
