<p>Position Description:</p> <p>The Xue-Zhong Yu lab is seeking a Project Appointment-Researcher for a fixed-term appointment for the purposes of acquiring new research skills and techniques.</p> <p>Primary Functions</p> <ul> <li>Design and perform laboratory procedures and experiments with supervision. </li><li>Participate in discovery projects. </li><li>Coordinate research study activities; lead and manage projects. </li><li>Prepare scientific reports, outcome findings, and scientific manuscripts. </li><li>Participate in meetings with principal investigator and research staff. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Schedule:</p> <p>M-F 8-5</p> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Required Education: PhD in biomedical field</p> <p>Minimum Required Experience: Flow cytometry, cell culture, rodent husbandry, and procedures</p> <p>Preferred Education: PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, and/or Molecular Biology</p> <p>Preferred Experience: Working with pathogens at BSL-2 or higher level</p> <p>Field: Microbiology and Immunology</p> <p>Knowledge - Skills - Abilities</p> <p>Required knowledge: proficiency in flow cytometry and have demonstrated experience working with rodents in the field of microbiome, molecular biology and cell culture; knowledge of microbiology, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, documentation, records management, data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.</p> <p>MCW as an Equal Opportunity Employer and Commitment to Non-Discrimination</p> <p>The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
