<p>Accounts Payable Specialist - Part-Time - Day Shift</p> <p>Community Care is hiring a temporary Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Community Care team. This is a part-time temporary opportunity at our Waukesha office.</p> <p>Accounts Payable Specialist Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Accounts Payable Internal Control - Responsible for appropriate internal controls relating to accounts payable and bringing problem areas to the attention of the Accounting Manager. Assists in the development and maintenance of documented policies and procedures as assigned. </li><li>Invoice Review/Investigation - Reviews invoices from vendors, matches to purchase order or other source document and investigates any discrepancies. Effectively utilizes vendor discount and allowance polices. Prepares the data and performs entry to provide the agency with weekly check runs for payment of invoices. Accountable for timely and accurate payment of invoices and resolution of problems with vendors. Oversees mailing of checks and invoices. </li><li>Audit Assistance - Assists with internal and external audits. </li><li>Check Printing - Oversees the check printing process by preparing edit list for management review and printing both Claims and AP checks. Also oversees the credit card payment process. </li><li>Record Maintenance - Maintains appropriate filing records related to W-9 and effective processing on 1099 forms. </li><li>Co-worker Coverage and Assistance - Assists other specialists as assigned with member billing issues, accounts payable, vendor issues and other finance/accounting issues. </li></ul> <p>Accounts Payable Specialist Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Required - High School Diploma (GED may be substituted for High School Diploma) </li></ul> <p>Preferred - Associates Degree in Accounting</p> <ul> <li>Experience: Required - 1 year of related work experience. Associate's Degree in Accounting may be substituted for experience. General knowledge of accounting principles, practices and computerized accounting systems.
