Identifying process improvements or control gaps and help facilitate necessary associated changes. </li><li>Conduct secondary review of applications, denials, and originations to assess compliance with regulatory issues. </li><li>Prepare monthly compliance reports for the Risk Management Committee and quarterly reports for the Audit Committee, summarizing findings from secondary reviews. </li><li>Assist in audit and examination preparations by gathering necessary documentation and supporting materials. </li><li>Develop a thorough understanding of all federal and state regulatory regulations and stay informed of changes in the regulatory environment through ongoing education and training. </li></ul> <p>Ideal candidates for the role will include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred. High School or GED equivalent required. </li><li>General banking knowledge </li><li>Two or more years of experience in compliance and/ or training in bank compliance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Strong knowledge of lending legal requirements and regulatory compliance. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li></ul> <p>A career at SmartBank is more than just a job, it is a family where values are upheld and hard work is recognized.
