<p>Vehicle Mechanic</p> <p>Transportation Department</p> <p>12 months</p> <p>Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is accepting applications for a Vehicle Mechanic in the Transportation Department. The Vehicle Mechanic assists the Shop Foreman in maintaining the school board fleet of school buses and other motor vehicles and equipment in a state of operating efficiency for the safety of our students and employees, and to prevent interruptions to the educational programs to the extent possible. Special care is to be given to vehicle components that could produce a life-threatening situation if damaged and not repaired.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge and mechanical experience on diesel and gasoline engines necessary to maintain school buses, trucks, vans, cars, tractors, and small engine equipment </li><li>Virginia Commercial Driver's license (CDL), Class B with air brakes required.
