For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments). </li></ul> <p>Advertised Salary Range</p> <p>$10.80 per hour</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>CPR/AED certification (can be completed up to 30 days after being hired). </li><li>Past experience of climbing and route setting and a knowledge of climbing equipment and outdoor equipment preferred. </li><li>Current belay certification at the KU Chalk Rock Climbing Wall. </li><li>Work Study eligible. </li></ul> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Outdoor Pursuit Specialists are responsible for the daily operation of the Outdoor Pursuits Program (climbing wall, rental office, teambuilding, etc.).</p> <p>This position will have supervision from the Assistant Director of Outdoor Pursuits and will work closely with the Outdoor Pursuits Program Manager.
