Are you with us?!?</p> <p>We are looking for a Technical Customer Service (TCS) Engineer at our Madisonville, KY facility.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Offer technical product application support, to influence and assist customers in marking their purchasing decisions; provide technical training as required. </li><li>Develop understanding of customer's production process and identify challenges and problems in the process in order to solve customer's problems </li><li>Analyze product requirements, recommend solutions, and present features and benefits. </li><li>Help manage customer complaints/claims from analysis of root causes to identification of corrective action plans and communication to customer </li><li>Build a network within the customers' organization to enable access to information about the process and performance of our products. </li><li>Represent the customer's technical requirements to supply chain and product development. </li><li>Ensure successful customer introduction of products in their processes by attending, contributing and documenting the results of customer trials. </li><li>Meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of media. </li><li>Perform additional duties as requested. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering with three years' experience. </li><li>Experience in the Pulp/Paper Industry, preferred. </li><li>Project coordination experience preferred. </li><li>Understand and follow Ahlstrom's policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Exercise a high degree of independent judgment and self-motivation while fostering a team atmosphere. </li><li>Chemical/mechanical/mathematical aptitude. </li><li>Solid troubleshooting skills. </li><li>Sound communication skills both verbal and written. </li><li>Interpersonal skills, strategic planning and influencing skills, problem solving, organizational and leadership skills. </li><li>Requires the ability to use multiple computer programs/systems including MS Office Suite. </li></ul> <p>Physial Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Portion of the time will be spent on the manufacturing floor. </li><li>Dedicated keyboard and computer screen work. </li><li>The employee must possess the ability to see, hear, talk and use fingers to manipulate controls. </li><li>The employee must be able to stand and walk on a variation of surfaces for long periods of time. </li><li>Requires the ability to travel overnight, including international travel. </li></ul> <p>Ahlstrom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
