<p>Rhapsody Restaurant Server</p> <p>Salary: 5.35 plus tips</p> <p>I. Position Purpose</p> <ul> <li>Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director/Master Chef Culinary Operations and Promotions, will perform the following job responsibilities: </li></ul> <p>II. Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks. </li><li>Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items…etc. </li><li>Handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific customer needs to the cooks. </li><li>Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses. </li><li>Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table. </li><li>Properly open and pour wine at the tableside. </li><li>Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change. </li><li>Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor. </li><li>Filling in for absent staff as needed. </li><li>Assist with special events as needed. </li><li>Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting. </li><li>Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. </li></ul> <p>III. Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Must be 21 years of age. </li><li>3 to 5 years' experience with casual fine dining atmosphere. </li><li>Basic knowledge of wines and wine services. </li><li>Computer literacy. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts. </li><li>Knowledge of Food Safety, Food Safety Certification or equivalent. </li><li>Strong organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>IV. Other Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Current Hocking College student willing to be trained </li><li>Ability to work nights and weekends including, but not limited to Thursdays, 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm; Fridays/Saturdays 4:30 pm to 11:00 pm and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
