<p>The City of Savannah is looking for a detail oriented, proactive, and self-motivated individual to join our Government Operations Division as a Management Analyst - Senior. </p> <p>The Management Analyst - Senior supports the Office of Government Operations Service Center and identifies, collects, analyzes, monitors and manages data and resources and proposes solutions to a variety of management and/or budgetary problems to improve effectiveness and efficiency of programs and services.</p> <p>We offer an excellent benefits package to include health, dental and vision, defined contribution plan (457b), life insurance, wellness programs, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, employee assistance program, home buyers' program, tuition reimbursement and more! </p> <p>There's no need to wait any longer click the apply button today to reap the amazing benefits Team Savannah has to offer you. </p> <ul> <li>Researches and works with departments to secure funding, sponsorships, partnerships and other resources to support Government Operation programs and priorities, including drafting proposals, preparing grant applications and coordinating program solicitations. </li><li>Develops and maintains competency in utilizing geographic information system (GIS) data to prepare maps and to complete data analysis and reporting. </li><li>Performs trend analysis and statistical analysis; develops and performs surveys; compiles and evaluates complex research data, including demographic, Census, local, state and federal laws, regulations, standard industry practices and other data. </li><li>Works with departments to develop strategic plans and initiatives, including gathering input, conducting site visits, public meetings and presentations. </li><li>Provides professional analytical work to staff in identifying, defining, analyzing and recommending strategies to address a variety of management, budgetary, programmatic and operational challenges. </li><li>Conducts studies in regard to managerial, budgetary and/or organizational issues designed to improve administrative cost effectiveness; conducts field visits; obtains and analyzes facts about departmental organizations, staffing, equipment, procedures and workload; analyzes and develops conclusions and makes recommendations on cost effectiveness; reviews and provides feedback to departments on program improvement. </li><li>Prepares a variety of routine and complex special reports, presentations, requests for proposals, contracts and agreements; summarizes data in a coherent oral, written, or graphic format; may prepare and revise policy and procedure manuals and instructional materials; may conduct operational reviews. </li><li>Creates and manages various spreadsheet and databases and the integration of automated systems related to City programs, plans, performance outcomes and other data management needs. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration; with four (4) years management and/or community/urban planning and analysis experience or work experience in research trends analysis that includes, utilizing geographic/spatial data, database software programs, gathering, reviewing and interpreting various data, and preparing comprehensive written reports; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.</p> <p> </p> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)</p> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of governmental accounting procedures and practices. </li><li>Knowledge of information management software. </li><li>Knowledge of planning, GIS and analytics terminology, trends, and issues. </li><li>Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. </li><li>Knowledge of government services, delivery, issues and solutions. </li><li>Knowledge of Code Compliance, Neighborhood Outreach, Educations issues and practices. </li><li>Knowledge of city purchasing policy. </li><li>Skill in oral and written communication. </li><li>Skill in the operation of computers and other modern office equipment. </li></ul>
