We ask questions to truly understand the core of a matter.</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> <p>Carries out duties and responsibilities of maintaining the operations and customer service of the Fitness Center. Adherence to the company's mission and core values is expected and is critical to the success of the Fitness department.</p> <p>Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p> <p>PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>General supervision of the Fitness Center and Recovery room. </li><li>Assuring the fitness and recovery areas are safe including enforcing club policies and procedures. </li><li>Maintains the highest quality of customer service. </li><li>Assures cleanliness and organization of the fitness and recovery areas, including routine housekeeping. </li><li>Adheres to scheduled responsibilities including attending mandatory department meetings. </li><li>Instructs members in proper and safe use of equipment. </li><li>Monitors music and TV stations and adjusts as needed. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned by management. </li><li>Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate. </li><li>Active participation in required events, programs, meetings, and trainings. </li></ul> <p>OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE</p> <ul> <li>Policies and Regulations - Knowledge of company polices. </li><li>Written Comprehension and Expression - Ability to read, understand and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. </li><li>Oral Comprehension and Expression -Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information. </li><li>Computer - Ability to utilize club software program and email communication software, such as Microsoft Outlook. </li><li>Knowledge of safe operation of fitness center and recovery room equipment. </li><li>Previous customer service experience. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Health and fitness background preferred. </li><li>Experience with fitness equipment preferred. </li><li>Current CPR/AED Certification required (Red Cross or American Heart Association; or within 30 days of employment) </li></ul>
