<p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) matching </li><li>Competitive salary </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Opportunity for advancement </li></ul> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Basic X-Ray Machine Operator / Medical Assistant is responsible for performing routine radiographic imaging and providing clinical support to ensure efficient patient flow. This role supports providers, delivers high-quality patient care, and maintains compliance with state regulations and clinic protocols.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Radiology (BXMO) Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine diagnostic X-ray exams in accordance with state and federal guidelines. </li><li>Position patients properly to obtain accurate imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety. </li><li>Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot basic X-ray equipment. </li><li>Follow all radiation safety protocols, including proper shielding and documentation. </li><li>Ensure image quality and submit images to the PACS/Radiologist for interpretation. </li><li>Maintain radiology logs, quality control records, and equipment maintenance documentation. </li><li>Adhere to ALARA principles (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) for radiation exposure. </li></ul> <p>Medical Assisting Duties</p> <ul> <li>Room patients, obtain vital signs, document medical history, and prepare patients for examination. </li><li>Assist providers with exams, procedures, injections, and point-of-care testing. </li><li>Perform venipuncture and specimen collection as permitted by clinic policy and state law. </li><li>Administer medications under provider direction. </li><li>Complete charting and documentation in the EMR. </li><li>Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure proper sterilization of instruments. </li><li>Support front-office operations as needed (scheduling, check-in, insurance verification). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Active Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) or state-equivalent radiography license. </li><li>Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred) or relevant clinical experience. </li><li>Current BLS/CPR certification. </li><li>Knowledge of radiographic positioning, exposure techniques, and radiation safety guidelines. </li><li>Strong patient service, communication, and multitasking skills. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and assist with patient mobility as needed. </li><li>Ability to move, position, or transfer patients safely. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Fast-paced clinical or urgent care setting. </li><li>Exposure to bodily fluids, radiation, and infectious diseases (with proper safety protocols). </li><li>Flexible scheduling may include evenings, weekends, or holidays. </li></ul> <p>Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour</p> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.</p> <p>PS: It's All About You!</p> <p>American Family Care has pioneered the concept of convenient, patient-centric healthcare.
