<p>Make it happen at Hopkins.</p> <p>Patient Care Tech I - PCT - Oncology Ambulatory Services</p> <p>Full time - Day shift - 40 hours.</p> <p>Patient Care Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital provide highly skilled and compassionate patient and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Patient Care Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.</p> <p>The Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Clinics provides both standard of care and research chemotherapy/immunotherapy, supportive care infusions, and clinical interventions for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. Other performance and patient outcome services include nurse telephone triage, discharge planning, care coordination, ambulatory clinical evaluation, and advanced drug preparation. Registered Nurses (RNs) care for patients with solid tumor diagnosis in the Viragh Building and patients with hematologic malignancies in the Weinberg Building. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
